Students preparing to enter the first year of their Architecture education at Valencia or UCF must participate in a prerequisite "studio test." The application to take the studio test is available each year. The test itself will be provided to students, who will have 20 days to complete its creative and analytical questions. Results determine whether a student can enter their first semester Architecture courses.
Architecture is a highly competitive and rigorous program. As a prerequisite to joining the program and enrolling in ARC1301C Design 1, prospective students must successfully complete and rank in the top group of test takers during the spring semester prior to starting classes in the fall. This test is only for students entering ARC1301C Design 1.
The application is not timed, and you will have the ability to return to it at a later date if you cannot complete it in one sitting. Once your form is submitted, you will be considered a candidate to receive the Studio Test via email on March 1st.
You will have twenty days to complete and submit the test. The final test must be submitted to the online portal by March 20, prior to 11:59 AM.
